21.Aug.2004	Tracy Lynne Graffagnini writes: I have information about the Carmelo R. Graffagnini who is still living. He is the son of Mary Louise Petty and Gioacchino Graffagnini, he was born on October 23, 1930, in New Orleans Louisiana. He married and had children with Arden L. Conway, born January 27, 1937, in Jackson Mississippi, she is still living in New Orleans. They have three living children all born in New Orleans Louisiana: Lynne Page Graffagnini, born March 22, 1965, Tracy Lynne Graffagnini, born October 31, 1967 Mark Anthony Graffagnini born March 24, 1970. 11.May.2004	Kyla Magar sends note and clipping containing obit of Rosario Schilleci dated 1958: Dear Joel & Robert, My mom just sent me a scanned copy of an obituary that she found for Rosario G. Schilleci. I’ve attached it for you. This gem should help me to expand my Schilleci line and after comparing names and dates [tonight after the kids are in bed ;0)], probably link our two families. 2.Oct.2002	Jean Graffagnini writes: Dear Joel, Friday my 75 year old father was elated when I brought him a printout of the information on his family (and mine). He is the son of Domenico Graffagnini (Family G) and Dorothy Godkin. His biggest surprise came when I printed out the picture of his grandfather, Carmelo Graffagnini(o), as an infant! I have some information for you if you would like to add it. [see updates below]

13.Dec.2001	A new contact for Family G writes: "My husband's name is Leonard Sperandeo. His father's mother is a Graffagnini.  Leonard's father, Paul Sperandeo, is around 70 years old right now. Leonard's grandmother had four brothers - Jake, Dominico, Vincent and Rosario. Leonard was born to Paul Sperandeo and Bonnie DeGrange on July 9, 1960. Leonard has a brother named Mark and two sisters named Deborah and Danielle. We live in Fair Oaks, CA." Midori Sperandeo [see updates below]

15.Apr.2001	Massimiliano writes: Dear Bob, I'm with my uncle Peppino Richichi and his wife Ada Manca (They live in S.Sepolcro) and he is telling me there are some mistakes: Antonina Graffagnini (Domenico Richichi's wife) was born in 26/6/1896 Domenico Richichi was born in 8/1/1890. "Pepino" Richichi is uncorrect: his name is Peppino and he was born in 9/1/1918 Nicolino Richichi was born in 25/5/1920 Adelina Richichi was born in 1930 (June) Rosa Richichi was born in 12/10/1924. Marco's wife was "Maria Sclafani", not "Scafani" Nicola Graffagnini (Marco's son) was born in 1918 Rosa Graffagnini (Marco's daughter); Paola Ravidà is married to Vincenzo Graffagnini son of Nicola (Francesca Scelfo's husband) and not to Vincenzo son of Totuccio (Olga's husband). Aunt Olga's surname is "D'Ippolito Lauriano" I hope we have been useful. Happy Easter. Massimiliano [see updates below]
3.Feb.2001	After further investigation, it appears that Angie's great grandmother, Vincenza Anna, the younger sister of Massimiliano's great grandfather, Nicolò, also used the Graffagnini spelling of her name. It seems appropriate to assume that all 19 children of Gioacchino, Margherita, and Anna probably spelled the name that way. So, henceforth, all Family G members will be so designated. (I won't bother to color-code all of those changes!) Too bad we didn't call this Family I!
1.Feb.2001	An updated email address from Angie today, as well as a few more corrections from Massimiliano. I have also added an email address for Massimiliano's older brother, Alessandro. [see first updates in this background color below]
31.Jan.2001	THE GRAFFAGNINI CONNECTION: More info from Massimiliano. He informs us that all of his family - indeed perhaps all of Family G - have used the name Graffagnini since some time after Vincenzo Graffagnino and Rosalia Castrogiovanni [see Family A] married and left Salaparuta to live in Contessa Entellina. He suggests that a clerical error registering the names of one or more of their children (or grandchildren) resulted in the name change. [see updates in white below]
30.Jan.2001	A new contact for Family G, Massimiliano Lorenzetti, has provided us with updated information for the family. Massimiliano lives in Rome and is a solicitor for the Tax Department. He is the son of Rosamaria Graffagnini, a teacher, and Piergiorgio Lorenzetti, a carabiniere, who live on the coast of Sicily, in Mazara del Vallo, Trapani. [see updates in white below]
